Melissa Sue Gribble Brown Owens:  

My technical name is: Melissa Sue Gribble Brown Gribble Owens, (AKA ~ Melissa Brown, Melissa Gribble, Melissa Brown Gribble, Melissa Sue Gribble, Melissa Sue Brown, Melissa Sue Gribble Brown etc etc lolol! Long story short, born Melissa Sue Gribble to Sue Ellen Smith Gribble (Sue Smith Gribble) and Donnie Jay Gribble (a wonderful Daddy, NNHS Class of 1969 & recently passed), my parents divorced and remarried other people, adopted legally by my Step Dad (Waverly) W.L. Brown (who is a wonderful father by the way) and my last name was changed to Brown. In my teenage years, I moved out of my Mother's house and went to live with my Grandparents (Gribble's) and they then changed my name back to Gribble, then my last name changed again for 1 reason or another back to Brown, fine by me :) I married Gary Owens right after graduation, July 1989 and again a name change :) So funny, the friends I grew up with always used to call me by my whole name! Melissa Sue Gribble Brown! I am from Newport News,Virginia. A Riverside baby along with my kids and some of their kids. Gary (recently passed) & I mutually divorced in about 2000, we grew up & apart after almost 15 years, we moved on to different lives but until the day he passed we were very close & spoke daily. together. School's that I still know people from: South Morrison Elem., Huntington Middle, Warwick High, Gloucester High (Gloucester,VA), New Horizons Tech. Ctr (Hpt). And as many people know, my Uncle was Mr. Frank Chesney, he taught Electronics at New Horizons. He was a great Teacher and an even better Uncle! :) I am the Ofc.
